COVID-19 Policy

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It’s been a difficult time for us all, none that any of us would have anticipated in a million years! To some degree it doesn’t make it as bad when we know we’re all in this together and by supporting each other especially now is appreciated more than ever and I personally want to thank you for that. I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love, whether it was lashes, lash lift, or even just a lash tint. I miss our chats, catch ups and most of all our laughs and I am so looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

For that alone I’m so grateful to have you as my clients, you literally keep me going every day and make what I love doing all the more enjoyable.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the Salon / Academy I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been closed, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is Accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry and recognised worldwide. I have also completed the Hygiene in the Workplace/Salon course with The Beauty Industry Approval Ltd to help keep our standards high within this industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Booking Appointments

NO walk ins allowed so please book on line or call the Salon to make an appointment for treatments and patch tests.

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not come into the Salon / Academy. This may mean that I would have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 , please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON / ACADEMY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT/TRAINING. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness.

Visiting the Salon / Academy

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments / training as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for salon appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. There are parking spaces outside the premises and you may wait in your car if you like.

In the waiting area there will be a short Covid questions form which we ask you to sign to say your answers are correct, upon request we can also email you this form and you can bring this form completed with you on arrival (this also saves time).

I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client / every hour.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety. Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

You will have access to soap and water to wash your hands with in the bathroom before you enter the Salon / Academy and we will also have hand sanitiser available for you to use when you come into the Salon / Academy.

Masks must be worn by all clients/students in the Salon / Academy. You are welcome to bring your own. If you do not have one we can provide one for you, however if you cannot wear masks for medical reasons we ask that you wear them for entering and leaving the building only and they can be removed in the treatment room.

I use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves / facemask / face shield where appropriate.

I can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority, I can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed between each client and removed from the Salon at the end of every day.

If you wish to purchase products we would ask you to buy them on our online shop or over the phone and we will have them ready for collection.

My treatments; All types of Eyelash Extensions, LVL (Lash Lift), Lash Tinting & Brow Maintenance

We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and we are confident that we can continue to provide these safely.

During the treatment

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash / sanitize my hands in according with HSE recommendations before the start of your treatment.

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.

After the treatment

In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card / or in advance using bank transfers. However, cash is still accepted.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the HSE regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
